Event Rental Guide for Metro Detroit Hosts
Planning an event in Metro Detroit — whether it's a backyard birthday party, a wedding reception, a graduation open house, or a company picnic — usually comes down to the same few decisions: how many chairs and tables you need, whether you'll pick items up yourself or have them delivered, and how to keep costs predictable. This guide walks through how event rentals work with Twelve21 Events so you can plan with confidence.
Chairs and tables. Most hosts plan around one chair per guest and one 6-foot or 8-foot table for every six to eight people. Our white folding chairs and folding tables are priced per unit, so you can rent exactly what you need instead of paying for a fixed package size. Linens and charger plates are available as add-ons for a more formal look at receptions and wedding-style events.
Pickup vs. delivery. Many customers pick up their order themselves to save on delivery fees, especially for smaller gatherings. Our vehicle capacity calculator helps you check whether your order will fit in a sedan, SUV, minivan, or truck before you commit to pickup. For larger orders — think 50+ chairs, multiple tables, or a full reception setup — flat-fee delivery is usually the simpler option, and several of our bundles include it.
Bundles vs. building your own package. If you know roughly how many guests you're hosting, our pre-built bundles like the Lit Backyard Bundle, Starter Event Package, and Classic Reception Bundle are the fastest way to get a complete setup at one flat price. If your event has more specific needs, the Build Your Package tool lets you choose individual items and add-ons and see a live running total as you go.
Booking timeline. Rental dates — especially summer weekends — book up in advance, so it's best to check availability and lock in your date with a deposit as early as possible. Once your date is confirmed, we'll coordinate your pickup or delivery window and walk you through the return process so your security deposit is refunded quickly and without hassle.
